As soon as the game started, Swans showed their determination to earn three points from this encounter. Time after time, Swans advanced towards the visitors' goal to no avail until Katie Young found a way through to put the home team one up at half time.
The second half was closely fought, although whenever the opposition ventured over the half way line, the back line of Bev Parker, Pam Laidman and Jackie Barker, ensured that it didn't go any further.
