Swans put up a good fight with 10 players

Salisbury (V) 4 - 1 Swanage & Wareham (II)
Swans 2 took on league leaders Salisbury 5s in a gripping contest that went right down to the final whistle, showing grit, teamwork and determination despite being reduced to just 10 players.
Swans went into the match fully aware of the challenge ahead and from the first whistle, their determination was clear. Strong teamwork and disciplined structure kept Salisbury at bay for much of the first half. Swans’ defence stood firm, with Player of the Match Alexis, delivering a superb performance in goal, remaining calm and composed under constant pressure.
It wasn’t until the 26th minute that Salisbury finally broke through, scoring their first goal of the game. Despite this, Swans continued to battle hard, heading into halftime just 1–0 down.

Swans came out fighting in the second half, pushing hard in search of an equaliser. Their efforts were rewarded in the 45th minute when Rachel Marsden found the back of the net, levelling the score and reigniting belief across the team.

With momentum on their side, Swans continued to press, creating further opportunities, but Salisbury’s defence proved just sharp enough to deny another goal. Eventually Salisbury found their stride and managed to pull away with three quick goals towards the end of the match.
Captain Anna Muir praised the team’s effort and resilience, expressing immense pride in their performance.
