Some early pressure from Swans saw some promising chances, some early shots on goal and a couple of goal-mouth scrambles before Pete Phillips deflected a shot through the Salisbury keepers legs to put Swans 1-0 up.

Although Swans had continued pressure it was Salisbury who were able to net from a short corner, having attacked at pace. Half time 1-1.

It was Swans who broke the deadlock in the second half, a simple and eloquent move saw Paul Randall break forward into the D, a short pass to Jack Thompson who squared it to Pete Phillips who had the simple but enviable job of putting the ball into the empty net.

A well structured and solid Swans defence frustrated the visitors, and Swans put the game to bed when Pete Phillips beat the last defender, lobbing the charging keeper to put Swans 3-1 up.

If there was any doubt of the outcome then Jack Thompson put pay to it when Sam Thompson was fouled in the D and Swans were awarded a penalty flick. Jack Thompson made no mistake, scoring with coolness and poise.

A late consolation goal for Salisbury, again from a short corner, did nothing to affect the outcome and it was Swans who recorded their 3 victory in a row. They are a team who are becoming increasingly formidable and free scoring.

Pete Phillips' hat-trick secured him man of the match.
